8.5 - big scale (not bathroom scale) He's been eating and drinking a lot these past few weeks, as well as running around like a maniac. I'm starting to get worried that we're facing a relapse of the cancer from a few years ago, but I'm waiting another few weeks before getting too nervous and taking him in to be checked. Mal peed on the bed again, blech. It does seem like he's doing it accidentally though. This time was after he'd been sleeping for hours in the same position. 9.0 lbs Also found crap on the living room floor, considerably darker color than his normal. I'm hoping, given the configuration on the floor, that he just had a messy event in the litter box and got his tail or leg covered in it, then came downstairs and sat down in the living room leaving the excess behind. Iif not, then we may be having behavioral/physical issues, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and eyes open. just for my records
Peed (on bed) while being pet Sept 24th Peed (on me & bed) while being pet Sept 25th I can't recall when it started, I thought I had noted it here, grr. So now I'm going to be better about recording it, sorry for the extra posts, this is just for my records. I've changed his dry food back to science diet. I don't remember when we started trying the Purina Natural Blends Chicken & Oat ( http://www.naturalblends.com/nat_cat_chick_info.asp) but just in case that caused any issues, I figure I'll try the Science Diet again and see. It was a few months ago, but I can't remember when the urination started either (before Dragoncon, after dragoncon, etc). Maybe I recorded it on my old PC HD and that's why I don't have the info. september update for record keeping
Sunday - Peed on Brad & bed while being pet Tuesday - Peed on me & bed while being pet. I tossed him (lightly) off the bed as soon as I saw his butt start twitching, so he only got the top covers of the bed, but he managed to get it sprayed all over the floor too (thank goodness for hardwood floors). Both times (as well as the previous 2) were during or after petting and all 4 times were on bed. I'm worried that the petting relaxes him and then the urination comes. And inability to control urination is a symptom of hyperthyroidism. That plus his odd appetite, attitude and the fact he doesn't like being held for very long currently all leave me very very worried for my poor little guy. He doesn't play any more either, though he still seems to moves around well. Thursday - Vet appointment (8.5 lbs yay!!) They're running a full blood work (T4's and others) and urinalysis, so I'll find out tomorrow if the radioiodine treatment worked or if my kitty is still sick (hyperthyroidism). Since I denied him the litter box from 6am to the appointment at 9am(which due to the vet being overbooked was actually closer to 10 ugh), he had enough in his bladder they were able to extract plenty for the tests so he didn't have to stay the day, which is always a plus. | | Thursday, July 6th, 2006 | | 3:58 pm |
